When will e2compr get merged into the standard kernel?

The main thing to be done is for e2fsck to have better ability to fix ext2-compression-caused problems.

E.g. if you switch your computer off between writing some compressed blocks and writing to the inode, then e2fsck should be able to detect and correct the problem.

Please don't write to people asking about adding ext2 compression to the standard kernel (unless you're working on e2fsprogs). This prerequisite was given by Ted Ts'o (one of the ext2 maintainers), and I think it the right decision.
